Selection & preparation

• Preparation work begins 8 months before delivery (from June of the previous year), with ongoing treatments, feeding, and care.
• We deliver only nucs on newly drawn comb and immediately productive, to ensure healthy, vigorous colonies.

Climatic advantage (Puglia)

Because colonies are developed in the Puglia (Apulia) region—where favorable conditions bring the beekeeping season forward—we can supply nucs around 30 days earlier than competitors.

Availability window

• 2026 season: deliveries in March / April (with previous-year queens)
• Pre-ordering is recommended to secure the earliest delivery slots

Delivery & collection

• Collection by appointment on site (Castellaneta, TA)
• Delivery at motorway toll stations in covered areas (see “Shipping Terms & Conditions”)
• Minimum order per purchase: 100 nucs
• Maximum per load: ~180 nucs

Nuc packaging

• Cardboard/wood crate (single-use): +€5 per unit
• Polystyrene: return possible (if in excellent condition) with refund

With this procedure a new swarm is generated and the units available for the production of honey or wax are multiplied. We are careful in the delivery and transport of the cores that are stored in special cold rooms, in order to guarantee the integrity and quality of our production.

Our company recommends that you collect the packages and cores directly from our office, so that we can offer you the necessary advice for the treatments to be taken into consideration. For example, it is of fundamental importance that the frames are arranged in the original order.

When decanting, it is always advisable to add two wax sheets, in order to make the nest narrow with a diaphragm. Our company offers the possibility of shipping abroad, or on a highway exit.

Do you ship by courier?
For nucs, delivery is primarily at motorway toll stations with our own vehicle and a trained driver, or by on-site collection. For other solutions, please contact us.

Are health documents required?
Nucs are supplied with treatments performed in compliance with current regulations; any additional documentation is defined at the time of order.

When will I know the exact availability date?
Dates are agreed based on weather and seasonal progress; we recommend booking in advance.
